What data do we collect?

The National Library of Syria collects only the data necessary to provide its services:

• Newsletter sign-up: your email (and optionally your name).
• Membership application: name, email, phone and the identification details necessary to issue a reader card.
• Reservations and contact messages: name, email and the details of your request.
• General browsing: the session and language cookies only — we use no third-party tracking.

How we use the data

Data is used solely to provide the service you have asked for (reply to your message, activate your card, confirm your reservation, send the newsletter). It is never shared with third parties for marketing.

Your rights

You may at any time request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by writing to privacy@nls.sy. You may also unsubscribe from the newsletter via the link in every email.

Security

Data is stored on secured servers; passwords and 2FA secrets are encrypted at rest. Only authorised staff may access your data.

Updates

This policy may be updated; any substantive change is announced on the home page.
